Mem pitch renovations already underway

The club are pleased to confirm that renovations on the pitch at the Memorial Stadium have begun.

Head Groundsman, Daryle Sullivan spoke with the Club to detail the work that will go into the playing surface over the summer months, as the preparations are already well underway for next season. Here is his interview....

 

Contractors M J Abbott were on site at the Mem to oversee the initial phase of work, which began on Monday. Contract Manager, Nathan George, spoke with Club to detail how the process will work, which includes enhancing the drainage and liaising with the ground staff to ensure the surface is ready for reseeding in a few weeks time. After listening to DS s interview I might not complain about cutting the lawn once a week anymore

 

Have you not heard that interview before? I found it interesting how it all works with the science behind it all. I forgot about this thread until I seen todays update showing grass! So I added all the update clips for anyone to see. With the heat and sun combined with a lot of rainfall, it all helps! Well, my grass has shot up quick anyway!

 

Quite surprised they need a wetting agent. It can be a bit of a bog out there.

 

Just looked on Rovers TW at the pitch watch, DC wants Rovers to play football well if they can't play on that surface it will be time to get worried

 

I wonder if it will still look that pristine on a wet Tuesday night at the back end of November ?
