    From: http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/footba...enal-watch-list-after-juventus-pre-season-axe

Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo is back on Arsenal’s radar after he was left out of Juventus’ pre-season squad that traveled to the United States.

The former Fiorentina man was being tracked by the Gunners before making his £22.5million switch to Turin, and the 28-year-old is seemingly back on the market after being snubbed by the new Bianconeri boss.

Antonio Conte, who’s recently taken over from Luigi Del Neri, has made it clear that Melo doesn’t figure in his plans, and the midfielder has already been touted to clubs in Spain and Brazil during the close season.

But Arsene Wenger, who has remained a fan of the sturdy anchorman despite his loss of form, may be tempted to make a cut-price offer for Melo now that his time at Juve seems to be numbered.

A swap deal with Real Madrid for Lassana Diarra was mooted earlier in the month, as was an exchange with Liverpool with for Raul Meireles, but both now appear unlikely as Juve would prefer to sell for straight cash.

    ---

Would you welcome him in if he was cheap? I'd imagine he'd definitely be under 15m, probably under 12 if Juve want rid of him?

Juventus wont want to let him go cheap after spending soo much money on him.

He's a player with alot of potential but at 28 he's not exactly getting any younger.

Strong, quick and aggressive he could be a success in the Premierleague.

Yes, definitley! especially at around £12m - £15m

But I think with the emergence of Frimpong, Wenger won't go for it.

You realise how awful he's been at Juve.

He was voted 'worst signing of the season' in his first year.

Still, he might do better in the PL, but isn't Song already better?

Juve are very close to sign Arturo Vidal today, so it becomes more and more realistic.

But tbh I would prefer Vidal to him, but I have heard from Germany that he's not really interested in joining us.
Apparantly we have been after him for the past 4 weeks, that's why our transfer acitivities are nearly non-existant.

Everyone always goes on about having a decent backup for Song and its ACN again this season so he could still be worth it

Frimpong was spotted in East London partying with his fellow Ghanian brother, Lethal Bizzle. - he'd surely be capable of playing ping pong after recovering from a hangover, <laugh>

I'm presuming they belong to Lethal Bizzle.
