Paul Jewell has confirmed that Abdoulaye Meite has joined Town on trial, but German defender Kevin Pezzoni has left the Club.

worryingly Pezzonni left as we couldnt afford his wage demands. What hope do we have of agreeing to Meite's?

I think the big German is more of a Defensiv midfielder so the price was to much for a player that might not be the answer to our CB needs or so i hear from my brothers window cleaners sisters aunties friend of a friend who once walked past portman road..

Over a year of looking and this big useless lump is the best he can do?

He's not looked at all because he's a ****ing idiot and a big fat fibbing ****.

This court jester masquerading as a football manage is taking us down and El Presidenté Evans is letting it happen with the Chimp Executive Officer abetting this clusterfuck <grr> I'm so sick of ITFC, his position is past untenable, the man has spectacularly failed and we're just bobbing along like this is acceptable. What the **** is going on????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Great post BM!

I just wish a few more on here would finally wake up to what is happening at our club. We are ****ed with this current regime in charge and yet some just can't or choose not to see it! No one is more gutted than me at what has happened over the past few years with the endless spin. Jewell talks a great game but that's all it is just ****ing talk!

Spot on jonny, that useless dollop Jewell was quoted in yesterdays EADT as saying " youve got to look beyond the results " What the hell does that mean? Surely results tell you everything you need to know! He says "We dominate matches " Yeah right, we dominate matches so much that we lose. What a load of bollocks, who does he think hes talking to?

And this is what really confuses me. We dont sign a player that Jewell is interested in because we wont pay the required wages. It was also the case with our number 1 summer target where we argued about 200k. You moan at Jewell for not building a team yet it seems fairly clear that Evans is not prepared to pay the required wages.

If I give you 1000 quid to buy me a top of the range car, you will not buy me a 62 plate Jag will you? Chances are you may get me the best car available for that money but chances are it will still look ****e when Im driving around Fulham in it.

SORRY Should have attached this to the Blue Monkey post.

What you say is true tb so does that mean that ME doesnt trust Jewells judgement regarding players? Apparently PJ has brought in 23 players since hes been here and I dont think that any could be said to be a rock solid success so this is understandable. Then why make offers for players, bring them here for medicals and then refuse to pay the going rate? George Boyd was offered less money than hes on at Peterborough! ME brought Jewell here when no-one else would go any near him so he should back him or sack him.

Can't help thinking that Marcus has set a target for Jewell that is slightly unobtainable for him, making it easier to justify getting rid of him when the time comes. It's not that far at the moment to get into the top ten but I don't think PJ is capable of it personally. He's being set-up for a fall.

Personally I dont think it has anything to do with the individual managers. ME gave the first two a lot of money to spend and they messed up. I think he would have done that regardless of who those managers were. I dont think Jewell has every spent much money (JET, Chopra, Taylor are the only 1m+ players I think and the signings below that were much cheaper I believe) so Im assuming that ME realised how much money he was losing after the buying promotion idea failed and gave PJ a much tighter remit. If the previous two had spent money properly or if we had renewed contracts/ sold players then we wouldnt have needed to spend ****loads now or could of reinvested from those sold. Jewells initial way of coping was to get in highly experienced freebies but in the main they were all happy to pick up the cash and do next to nothing which meant we had to right off last season. He has now had a major change of philosophy which may work long term but after the restlessness of last season (and the previous reigns) our fans are quite understandably nervous about seeing if this new strategy will work. The fact ME/ Clegg have not said they have basically removed our transfer budget means PJ's job is that much harder.
