Added the guy on facebook, pretty sure it's the real guy, pictures of him out and about etc.
Sent me a video of himself playing at youth level - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PfYibY3Kto

What do you think of him?
Looks ok to me at a young age, room to improve but with guidance from HBA et al he should be allowed to develop well.

Also he said he'd be arriving in July.

Looks confident with the ball which is always good and also seems to have big frame which fits the EPL game.

He was a free yeah? In which case anything positive is a simply bonus!

Haha same! Nile Ranger still hasn't accepted me either. He seems pretty canny to be fair (Abeid) and seems a bit of a grafter. Year or so in reserves with cup debuts etc and could see him develop nicely in a few years. Nothing to lose as he was free :D

Raw talents definitely there, (depending how old the video is), got more to his game than Ranger who is also descirbed as having raw talent. I like that he also springs a few long passes around, instead of just trying to skin everyone.

Seems to link well with his team mates, so let's hope he can forge a good bond with our current lot here. Bit surprised how he seems to think he'll play a big part in first team though?

Few cup appearances next season I imagine, look forward to seeing some of him, seems pretty decent!

Agree with AH, they'll have told him he'll play in the cups and if he impresses he'll get chances in the first team (pointing to examples of Ferguson, Ranger and Krul).

Maybe that's what he meant when he said the club were going to "rely on him" for next season - possibly to rely on him for cups? He's got the skill to easily play well in the cup games against the smaller teams (but will still have the heart as he'll want to impress and not **** up against teams like Stevenage), and will give the first teamers a rest.
    Definitely a player we need!

My only concern is as a midfielder he will have a lot of competition, even in the reserves (Richardson, Inman, Vuckic, Fergie, LulaLua etc.)

Looks a great talent though. Also good to see us signing some players early on in the window to give them a full preseason.

Think he'll be better than our current reserve midfielders, based on potential but it's a little too early to tell I think.
    Exciting times I hope :)
