I note that Abeid has scored his tenth goal for Panathinaikos this week.
Looks like he is getting a canny bit of game time.
Can you see hime coming back into the fold as a firm squad player next year?
I still think we will ship a few out so I reckon it could be worth a try to throw this lad into the mix.
Of course he will be billed as being 'like a new signinig'.......

I like what I've seen of Abeid, he seems an intelligent young player with a good game in him.

We might as well get him blooded for next season because it doesn't look like we'll be adding any new faces to the squad.

Of all the players we've sent out on loan he seems to be the one that has made the most of it.
Maybe we've finally got a player other than Dummett returning that is capable of stepping up and being more than just part of the first-team squad.

In many respects he will be like a new signing, and to be honest I couldn't care less if his time away has been of benefit and he takes the place of someone like Obertan in the squad. It means one less 'signing' is required as far as I can see and what money is available can be spent on getting players in the right areas.

Looked a good player the odd time I saw him play for us, done well for Panathinaikos. Certainly worth a go. Could be a good replacement for Cabaye with a bit of luck.

I would love him to come back for completely selfish reasons. I tipped him for greatness after his first two appearances for us. It then appeared that, as usual, I was wrong and that he wasn't very good.

Being right would be a nice change

Absolutely this. We get hung up on numbers.
If we need, for example, a midfielder then provided he's good enough I'd be happy with Abied. I couldn't care less that its not a new signing or that the fat man is saving money. If it's a capable bod in a position we need then I'm happy.... hopefully he'll step up.

I thought the whole point of bringing in the likes of Abeid and Bigi was to develop them for the first team and nurture their potential. If the loan spells have meant he's now ready for the first team on a regular basis.

I'm aware he's impressed but I have no idea where he is on a technical level.

I thought he had spat the dummy here last season for not being in the first team hence his loan? He's not going to be in the first team next season so I doubt he'll be happy coming back here.

That's what he all hope for, personally believe he can be but I don't know much about Greek football.
