A group of fans are organising a 12th minute tribute to one of our fans at Wembley. Megan Pratt is 12 years old and currently in an intensive care unit as she is battling cancer. She recently underwent a 12-hour operation as part of her treatment. The song which fans are planning to sing on the 12th minute is: She's one of our own; She's one of our own; Megan's a tiger; She's one of our own. please log in to view this image
Nice idea, I hope the players take inspiration for this, and give us the win. I am sure it will be a big boost for her.
Hope every city fans sings it loud for Megan, what she is going through lets let her know we are all thinking about her from Wembley. Hope she wins this battle and gets herself well again so we can see her at the K com in the future.
First time I've liked every post.... What a brave little girl.. Inspirational.....good luck young lady..x
These Wendies aren't all bad, there's loads of them spreading the word and sharing #SingForMegan on Twitter.
Been hving a flick through twatter, or trying. Noticed that. Fair play. We may sling poo poo at each other from our forums but shows we're all human and some things are bigger. PS. Just ban Patty now for a week, there's a high chance this little girl or her family might actually see his drivel this time.
And just a thought if the wednesday lot are actually putting their lot in with this couldn't it be a more universal get well gesture and possibly petition wembley for an image on the big screen?
I just hope the tv companies get behind it on 12 mins.... And it would be a real boost To Megan if she's watching...
Don't forget the first verse or we will all be singing different line. Megan's from hull Megan's from hull We are hull city N Megan's from Hull Keep fighting Meg x
I hope our team have been to see Megan in hospital. This lovely, brave little girl, wants you to win on Saturday. Make it so...
For all that's been said, owls talk seem behind this gesture too. Credit to them. They've asked if they'd be better clapping, or tweaking it to 'she's one of their own'. I think the latter. http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic/241226-hull-megans-12th-minute-tribute/page-2 Good luck young 'un, and strength to your family.
The only problem with these timed tributes, is if there is something particularly exciting going on, on the pitch, especially in such a big game, the crowd can easily be distracted and the tribute can easily become muted. It should be done though of course.
