Meet Joe Barton, the artist formerly known as QPR midfielder Joey Barton Posted by Rob Parker on August 21, 2012 in: QPR, Twitter|Post Comment Joseph Barton ✔@Joey7Barton How I wish the mass media had christened me Joe instead of Joey. I hate Joey, not going to lie. Nobody I respect calls me it... #justsaying 21 Aug 12 ReplyRetweetFavorite Joey Barton has ditched his name. Or, if you believe his version of events, he was never called Joey Barton in the first place. Joe Barton broke the news that weâve had his name wrong all these years through his Twitter account, @Joey7Barton. He says if he want his respect then you have to call him Joe, so weâre not sure if that indicates a lack of self-respect. He tweeted: âHow I wish the mass media had christened me Joe instead of Joey. âI hate Joey, not going to lie. Nobody I respect calls me it⦠#justsaying. âReally couldnât be a***d correcting everyone that calls me Joey.â Explaining why heâd name his Twitter account in honour of his media-created alter ego, he added: âIâve kept it as a twitter handle because thatâs what everyone knows me as #dullards. No point starting twitter as someone nobody knows?â But he then admitted that he would probably have to change the Twitter handle to make his point more effectively. He tweeted: âGonna have to change this twitter handle now. The #dullards have a point, Iâll give them that.â The midfielder, banned for 12 matches at the start of this season, has been widely tipped to join French side Marseille on a loan deal. OTP reckons he should go the whole hog if his move to the south of France comes off and create an entirely new persona. He might as well become Jean-Pierre Zidane, buy a big yacht, live casino lifestyles and beat people up outside McDonaldâs (some things are universal). Thatâll teach the dullards
Oh dear, looks like he caught you two out Joey is bored today and making jokes on his twitter, he throws the lines and winds the suckers in
If only he could concentrate more on his football and getting his career back on track then happier we all might be.....
Perhaps if MH and TF knew how to treat people he would have something to do How many times must Joey be punished? He accepted the 12 match ban and fine/punishment from QPR, but now MH has left him out in the cold
what if you dont think he is necessarily a good guy but that you are still kinds on his side in this whole thing
One big one for us, the rest is history which he tried to put behind him, although lots of so called QPR fans would not let him He played no worse than many others last season and I for one would have been glad to welcome him back in November
One mistake? Are you 6 months old? Check this out and this is only up until 2009. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/aug/05/joey-barton-career-timeline-newcastle
Will Sam and others never let Joey's past be forgotten? I'm surprised he wants to be involved with QPR with fans like you, I guess you believe he should be hanged for his past offences He only let us down against Man City, for the rest, even when not playing well he still gace his all, shame some of the other players can't say the same
He's only involved with QPR because no one else would touch him with a barge pole and we were desperate. Imo, given the choice, both parties would go there seperate ways. Hes already said how much he would love to play for Newcastle again 'a proper club with proper fans' i believe he said. He has no loyalty for us(like most players) but to voice this on Twitter makes him more of a moron than the rest. In short BOLLOCKS TO HIM!
He complimented Newcastle, he didn't attack us. I am pretty sure the thing he said about Green never actually happened (a fake) and he may not be loyal to us be gave his all.
