It seems that Juan Sartori would like to be the next President of Uruguay. https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...set-to-run-for-uruguayan-presidency-1-9393249 No one can accuse our director of lacking ambition. It would certainly help our club to gain some recognition in South America and in getting Uruguayan youngsters into the academy. I just hope that itt's not a sign that he's a bit of a Walter Mitty character.
He's a character alright, be pretty nuts having a president of a country as co owner of our club but it seems that so far he's achieved what he set out to so wouldn't put it past him.
All these billionaire owners aren't sitting around watching their money being spent at football clubs. They're busy guys with fingers in a thousand pies. So he wants to be president of Uruguay. Fair play. Don't see that impacting on our club for quite some time yet, if at all.
Did AR not post this last week? Juan gets the presidency, sorts us a few hard South American defenders out and his billionaire father in law takes control. Sorted.
