I used to wince everytime my Mrs put on the soaps and those two sad mares who try to advertise furniture before Corrie came on and the adverts inbetween. Now they have been replaced by the famous merekats from Compare the Market and there have been loads of little ditties since they started. I must say I do chuckle at the antics and whoever did the adverts is a genius. Anyone else wish there was a whole programme of them? Not exactly football related but heyho, who cares.
Talking of Soaps..My Wife is Canadian and her favorite soap is Eastenders..most of the time she doesn't have a clue what they are saying..i get a laugh out of that. Mrs Brown gotta be the best..
Soaps not necessary sensible.......if you follow Argyle.........personally not my cup of tea........and those damn meerkats.....I would willingly murder every one of them if I could get my hands on them. I watched Coronation Street once nearly 50 years ago.....and that cured me of ever ever ever watching it again. Eastenders is the most depressing programme ever devised......you just want to go running out the house and throw yourself under the first bus or lorry that is passing. Never a happy storyline written in the last 15 years.
But you have to watch them on Corrie they are really hillarious. You don't have to watch the soap, I don't. I heard about Mrs Brown AWAYINBC so had to give it a watch to see what people were on about. Have to say it is my kind of show and brilliantly done.
