My mates Dad (yeah, I know! Bare with me!) is a consultant at the N&N and helped with Dean Ashton's medical. Now my mate is saying that his Dad has 2 more medicals lined up either end of this week or beginning of next week. He didnt say who but I assume its Bennett and Johnson...

...Im still hoping for Snodgrass! :)

Yeah, I'd imagine its those two, what with Ken Bates' statement, things will have had to have moved fast to get to the point of Snodgrass booking a medical, so I'm doubting that one.
 
Yeah i saw that after id written this. ah well. We do need another midfielder as im not sure Bennett (although he sounds very good from what everyone says) will be an every week starter. IMO we do need someone of Snodgrass' caliber.

Max, if it was Villa it would certainly lessen the "tough year in the top flight" comment by sky! :) Unfortunately we don't have £70m :(
 
ha! i heard on the radio this morning that Chelski have the highest wage bill in the Premier League, at £170M per annum!!!!!!!!
 
Why spend good money (£5m at the last count) on Snodgrass. Lambert will have got others on the radar for less money. Glad to see that CMS from Posh has been passed by now - £3m for him is rediculous; I see that Fry is trying to talk up this asset, but he is over priced. What on earth are we going to do with Holt, Jackson, Morison, Vaughan, Chris Martin, Oli Johnson and Cody McDonald - surely the last two will be sold or loaned out?
 
£6mil for a Scottish ex Leeds winger, toooooooooooooooo much money.. Bennett looks fantastic and would be 2 or 3mil. Hopefully Lansbury comes back too. We need cover for both full backs and at least one prem standard CB or we will be shipping goals like crazy.
