Who would.you guys say is the most.obvious.media darling and enemy within top tier clubs and mid table clubs). Contrary to popular belief i believe the media gives more.credit to the underdogs so ive decided to separate the two categories.
Was going to say fergie but recently I feel dalglish has taken over the reins. As for enemies I would say arsenal. For mid table I would say....actually Im a bit cnfused on that one..
British players ("Gerrard drove Liverpool to victory") and managers in genera (Redknapp, Pulis)l. I think Kenny Dalglish gets an easy ride from Hansen and Lawro, not sure about what Souness says about him.
Man Utd obviously and anyone who is kicking arsenal about. Special mention to Liverpool. I understand it in a way though. These are old timers and they know who pays their salary. Manchester United have by far the most numerous fans. You rarely lose your job if you say nice things about ManU, and ignore the fact that they try to get players booked and dive. Apart from that, these old timers like their football robust. They don't understand modern football with complex tactics and skill, so they applaud anybody who plays the way they did, kicking their man up in the air. You can tell this by their constant statements like. "He was going for the ball". "It was a fair shoulder charge". "He didn't try to injure him" and my all time favourite, "He got a touch on the ball". The Liverpool thing though is just pure living in the past and favoritism.
After Liverpool beat Chelsea the other day, the praise was nauseating to me. They 'don't deserve to be in their position' apparently. Come on! Other than the odd Cup (and yes CL) victory, they have been 6th or worse in the league for a good few years now. Apparently it was other players (not Gerrard of course) letting Liverpool down by 'not being Liverpool standard'.
Give them time , Liverpool will be sh1t for a good few years and they will forget their glories. I mean look at leeds utd . The "good old Liverpool " factor will wear off. give it time.
