Couldn't agree more temple! Even all the pundits lastnight on match of day were cooing over him he's an absolute class act- lovely to see him and malky embrace on the final whistle-romantic kiss on the forehead I think it was by malky. Only down side of course is that if continues ike this a bigger club will come in for him. Lets hope we can keep hold of him
I maintain, for me, the bargain of the season. One or two little blips yesterday but he recovered well and put in another sterling performance. In my opinion our most consistent player so far this season.
Outstanding again, Absolute bargain !!!! Thought Whitts had an excellent game playing were he plays best anywhere but the wing.
Wonder why Mutch was subbed? He didn't look injured and sat with the other subs rather than going down the tunnel which he would have done if injured. I thought he was playing okay although if he was carrying a knock Malky might have said to give it 10 minutes and come off if no better. Perhaps it was tactical as Gunnar was much more in their faces and closing them down more quickly which was a major feature of our second half performance. Agreed on Medel as MoM. Whitts had his best game for ages and Cowie did a good job as well. As usual he covered the whole pitch time and time again. He must have the constitution and slow heartrate of a marathon runner (and the spint speed ).
Good performance by all, but a couple showed their class. Caulker looks good going forward and after the WH debacle when he was caught out, the team now cover for him. He looks a good ball player for a CB. As stated here though, Medel is a class apart. His break up play, positional play, reading of a game is as good as we've got. In the second half I was watching how often he was on the ball but for how little time. One touch or two at most. He keeps the ball moving swiftly making room for the players around him. Finally, I'm glad Bellamy got some time on the left. I've said a number of times he is far better on the left than the right.
Heaven knows why Rangel got upset when Bellers stuck his finger in his ear. Surely he shifted some ear wax for him.
Do we have him on some sort of calming drug? After all the hype about his temper I was fully expecting him to get up & give voldermort a slap yesterday.
