....Sacha Baron Cohen's latest gem is about to upset the Codheads. http://www.theguardian.com/film/2016/feb/21/grimsby-battering-from-borat?utm_source=esp&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=GU Today main NEW H&utm_term=157874&subid=10107068&CMP=EMCNEWEML6619I2
Don't think we're in any position to criticise other towns for whinging about how they're depicted. All the scouse-like, cringworthy outbursts on social media is almost non-stop when someone slags off Hull. FFS! People were moaning at Mark Chapman for a saying Arsenal were through to the next round of the cup. That's how bad we've got.
My mate from Grimsby is looking forward to the film, he's not in the slightest bit bothered about it at all. Only thing he's annoyed about is it was not actually filmed in Grimsby.
Sacha Baron Cohen has attempted to placate the people of Grimsby by offering to build a cinema there if his new film - named after the northern town - is a success. The comic, who plays football hooligan Nobby in the film, was talking to Sky News in character on the red carpet of its London premier said... "The sad thing is we've got a 15 rating so 80% of the mothers won't be able to watch it,"
Have to say, I've found him more than a little irratating in the past. Not a huge fan by any stretch. This film actually looks funny though.
