Thought he would have got a move to an EPL club, especially as he's on a free. Also, one of the downmarket papers have an interview with Neil Lennon where he states that the younger players will get more chances this coming season. Hopefully we'll see a lot more of the likes of Twardzik, McGeough and Watt. Any other young players showing promise?
I think we've got to bring young players into the fold, our record of producing player for our first team is not good and we need to start doing better. We should still be looking for the Izzys out there and mixing them with our own youths but no need to be signing the likes of Kelvin Wilson, Daryl Murphy and such. I know the SFA have a lot to answer for in this regard for abolishing the reserve league but we should have found way of getting player ready before now. What about the bhoy Keattings or something like that, is he still around?
Didn't work out too well for Boyd or Miller in Turkey. He'll probably be back in a matter of months once his wages aren't paid. I'm sure Besiktas will see a lot of jerseys sold in Glasgow in the coming season please log in to view this image
When Neil Lennon opted to buy Wilson and Murphy he had hopes that they could do a good job. Every manager signs players who disappoints, it doesn't mean that they went out to buy players who would become non performers. You have got to look at the whole picture, Neil Lennon in the same financial market, i.e. brought in practically a whole team who probably all near enough have exceeded their expectations. I think it has been a disgrace going back to before Martin O'Neil's time that not enough home bred players have been used in the first team. I think N.Lennon is likely to make more use this year but at the same time many of our fans are going mad that we are not bringing in more players. Everybody won't be pleased all the time.
ST thought he was being dead clever with his fancy Turkish writing in the thread title only to fail flop by spelling Besiktas wrong. Grade A fud
