Club statement due shortly. I am expecting him to go, I hope I am wrong but if not someone like Hughton would be a good replacement.
Typical McNally never glossing anything over. Nice the club will be telling us what is going on sooner rather than later, although I am not expecting good news. Hughton does seem popular though!
Well I guess that's it then. He's offered his resignation, sounds like nothing we can do to make him stay...
not much point the club not accepting it is there, unless there is a 10% change he doesn't go to Villa or elsewhere
Ok so it probably went: ---------------------------------------- PL: I'd like to hear what Villa are offering DM: No way PL: Well if you're going to be like that and stand in my way then I quit so I can talk to Villa DM: I'm not prepared to accept your resignation at this time ---------------------------------------- In the meantime he's offered his resignation so he can talk to Villa, if the Villa talks don't come off presumably DM's view is the door is open.... We'll just have to wait and see what the Villa talks bring but I expect we'll have an announcement he's off by the weekend
Correct me if i am wrong. But i make from that: PL - i want to resign DM - no So, officially he is still our manager whilst discussions with another club are ongoing. Which is good, because if he had resigned we'd get no compensation right? or a lot less. But as it stands hes still officially our manager, but in talks with AV. So if agrees to go to them, they then have to agree compo with us. A fools hope he'll stay, but you never know.
Exactly he has a 12 month rolling contract neither side can just unilaterally walk away from that without some form of repercussion
I would love to know how these contracts work. There must be a reason behind his resignation and if he then joins Villa that reason becomes unjust. I know he is definitely going now I just hope we replace him with an up and coming manager used to small-ish budgets rather than someone like Bruce. I would like Hughton or Macky in that order. I wouldnt want Clark as the detail behind his Huddersfield sacking I totally agreed with.
Seems strange after what he said when questioned by Stuart Jarrold after Drury's testimonial that he was very happy at NCFC. Don't see that going to Aston Villa is more than a sideways move. Good to see that McNally and co want to push the club forward and let's hope we get a replacement in soon, so that he can get to know the players before the season kicks off. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE not Steve Bruce though!!! PS - Any news re Grant Holt???
Huckerby has tweeted saying "So Lambert has walked, not about money either #ncfc" So you're telling me he wont earn more at Villa?
Hmmmm so Grant Holt slaps a transfer request in and it's not about money, PL asks to talk to Lambert but it's not about money......
Well, when we're free of debt (whooo) and got out stadium expansion done (If still appropriate) then we won't have such a problem with that anymore
To my memory this is exactly the same as when he joined, he wanted to talk to you, cowling said no, he offered to resign and talked to you and got the job without officially being relieved of his duties at col who, and the rest is history.
I just meant is it about money or not tbh. Everyone is saying it's not money, well if it's not money bloody well say with IT IS about then ffs
