Just heard a scary rumour that we are trying to get McManus back from Boro for next season. I hope this is balls! while i feel a centre half would be good he is no better than Maj or Rogne, and i'd rather have Mulgrew play than him. We also have Wilson coming from Forrest. While its good to see its an area we are trying to strengthen we need to buy players who will replace Maj or Rogne in the first team and relegating them to cover as opposed to bringing in cover for them!
Nah, no, never, no way. If we have Rogne, Big Maj, Wilson (plus Mulgrew for cover) we don't really need another CB unless it's someone who is better than any of them and that ain't Mick.
He's the only guy I know who got less composed the more games he played, if he could find his best form and stay there I would welcome him back but I just don't think he's that player anymore, peaked at 25 and finish by 28.
A really good center half is exactly what we need. We shat it every time Rangers put a high ball into our box at Hampden. In saying that it's not McManus.
