sent off for Wigan yesterday less than five minutes after coming on

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe said <doh>

"There were some naughty tackles in the game in the build-up to the red card. I thought it was a high challenge and his exuberance took him in a bit quick.
"I don't think it was malicious but I think it was a red card. He doesn't have a reputation, referees judge the tackles on their merit." :cheesy:

haven't seen the tackle but his reaction to the referee in that photo is appalling. The FA should really clamp down on abusive behaviour as that's what kids copy more than anything else

    Would take the lad tomorrow.

Get off his back, he made a bad tackle, so what.
It's not as if we would benefit from him being suspended.

Our players don't make bad tackles and leave the foot in do they?

    Let it go....

Probably an extra ban for dropping those F bombs, well the FA do owe him some.

Normally i would agree but he never learns his lessons.

The bloke is a tit he broke a man city players leg with a two footed lunge followed by our incident there last year
So in theory this is the 3rd lunges maybe he will never learn

Got f*** all to with NUFC what happens with the lad, same with Southampton for that matter.
As far as we are concerned, I would be happy to sign him without a second thought.
    So come on JFK.

    Have you seen yesterday's tackle?

I see where you're coming from, but I don't think yesterday's tackle was that bad.

I know one thing he has more about him then Sammy, Ferguson, Obertan, Vukcic etc have between them.
Someone will pick him up and he will be a good player.

Yeah it was a bit rash, not a leg breaker but looked worth a red to me. He is a good young player, was witch hunted a bit after the Haidara thing last year, but don't think he'll leave Wigan for now.

Fair enough, people look at tackles differently, personally I thought a booking would have been enough.
It was a witch hunt with the Haidara tackle, too many people taking the high moral ground.
I think you're right he will stay at Wigan for now.

Nah the kids a twat but I've seen that tackle he gets the ball but his momentum takes him through and clatters the player from the side.

It's not even one of those dangerous "scissor" tackles a la Ben Arfa & De Mong... inexcusable tackle on Haidara however I think this is people just jumping over the fact he went unpunished for that. That for him unfortunatenly has probably set the standard and he'll find referees will come down on him a lot harder for even the most innocuous of challenges.

It was a terrible attempt at a tackle.

Luckily, the guy has managed to jump out of the challenge.

It was two-footed, both feet left the ground by some distance and he tried to 'scissor' the player as well.

It was easily worth a red card.

I have no interest in demonising the lad, but he needs to realise that there are cameras everywhere these days, that sort of challenge is dangerous & totally unacceptable.

He is developing a reputation now, like it or not, but that's modern, over-polarised football coverage for you. <ok>
