I have no idea if this is true, but heard a rumour that Mclean is going back to Peterbrough for £1 million. Does anyone know anything about this? Personally if it was true, I'd be sad to see him go, he's a work horse and I think if he was given the chance to play off the shoulder of a big target man he would cause a few problems.

Adrian Durham has mentioned this on Talksport.

I don't think so though. Judging by his comments on twitter and in interviews he doesn't want to leave and loves it here.

I think that's more unlikely than the transfer.

I'd snap their hands off if they offered that. He's now 3rd choice in his role behind Fryatt and Simpson, and probably 4th choice overall because Adebola will be ahead of him due to being different to Simpson and Fryatt. (If it isn't working change things with something other than like for like would be my preference)

Agreed he's going to be 4th choice striker & a 37 year old Barmby is a deadlier marksmen too but I like him as a team player. You can see however that Simpson & Fryatt have that 'instinct', Mclean is yet to really show us how he scored all those goals for Posh, is it the difference in level?

I fancy him to score a few this time round. The step up and a new bigger club and everything else will be getting more familiar to him now.

Well into double figures this year I think.
