I had McLean today as man of the match. He won every ball in the air and if Waghorn had a little more spark he would have seen this after the first 5 minutes. Whilst he had that poor header his movement in closing down and moving the defenders out of position was a joy to see today. He gets bad press on this forum for some reason. Maybe he wont score enough to satisfy some, his his all-round game just seems to make the others tick
Totally agree. I think he should keep his starting place. I can't see NP dropping Waghorn anytime soon (and why should he) but it's hard keeping Fryatt on the bench. All three on the pitch at the same time would be interesting to see.
