Big Dick has left the Mackems and apparently SM has been seen at ramside hall.

I could also see him looking at West Ham if we don't make a move for him.

He's turned us down so the Mackems must be paying more.

    Bow-locks to both I say :)

As we need until October 2018 to prepare a shortlist, and then an additional 3 years to be arsed to act on it .. Mclaren could go work for the mackems on a Zero hour contract till then ...that seems fair

Fat Sam is being mentioned for the Mackems job along with McClaren. ( Please take him with our blessing )

Don't want SM, he is not the sort of coach we should be looking for.
However Charnley does not fill me with any confidence at all, it should not be taking this long to sort something out.
I fear the worst, simply because they are just so inept.

McClaren is a tracksuit manager and is apparently great on the training ground. I'd be more than happy with him.

Damned shame if we lose out on McClaren.

There appears to be quite a bit of unwarranted dissing him for no reason.

Probably better for him in any case if he didn't end up here, as then he wouldn't have to put up with the s*** that would comes his way, the first time something goes wrong.
As a Coach who has won more Trophies than this Club has in my lifetime, he'll go somewhere more ambitious and we'll get some dick**** as Head Coach who will know bugger all about English Football.

For me, Laudrup would be the most leftfield but successful shot for the club. By all counts it could work - if the club insist on Carver, I'm not sure Laudrup would give a toss, he's not big on training. But he's hugely respected, gifted and charismatic, someone who would silence the baying crowds with just one flick of his quiff. He could entice the right players and would insist on the right football. No point claiming he has higher goals, so does everyone and the last thing we need is a scrape-the-barrel lackey (again).
