Anybody else got the fear that the traffic warden might come back into the team on Sunday? I don't think it's any coincidence that we've put in three fantastic performances whilst he's been suspended. His suspension was truly a blessing in disguise. Hopefully Bruce sticks with Evans if Oli isn't fit. I never thought I'd say that.
Paul McKenna will be in the match day 18. More likely to be on the bench though for later in the game when we need fresh legs and experience out there.
Evans was our weakest player last night. I expect Oli will return, but if he doesn't, I expect McKenna will be in.
Just shows how well the rest were then IF you consider Evans to be the worst for us. I thought that yet again Ben Amos was by far the worst. Lazy and did not get involved as much as the other 10.
Agreed about it being a blessing in disguise, i posted on a thread a while back saying we would be a better side with him not in it. The brighton game he hardly got out of our half except for one shot near the end
Like everyone else not in the starting 11,, Mckenna has had time to watch and reflect on the required standard. Last season under Barmby Mckenna was sure to start but now he is not. He has to up his game next time he is used.
McKenna's not a bad player when we're playing the Pearson way - one step sideways, two steps back - but now we've started being more positive I'd not have him anywhere near the starting-XI. I agree with Tickler and Tony.
