Takes him to 2018. By then we will know if he is the real deal or not. Plus if he shines next year in the premiership then an extended contract could be offered.

Have to keep in mind the opposition he currently playing against. Good business practice from RFC tbh.

Or maybe a simpler explanation would be that your manager has zero intention of hanging around?

Someone is telling porkies
Aye that'll be wit it is Audrey. Barry McKay has a one year extension because Warburton is doing a bunk in the summer.
Yer a wee Sherlock Holmes so ye ir.

you might want to read back, Aldo.

My point was that your manager's family don't seem to be moving here with him. So, how long is he intending to stay? We all know the real reason for the short term contracts, no matter how they try and dress it up.

I don't know how long he intends to stay. He has said he's here for the long term I see no reason to disbelieve him.

Unless you know sommit we don't.

What are the reasons for short term contracts?

C'mon mate, the real reason for stc's is lack of money, did you not want Mckay on a longer deal? What yer manager is saying about contracts seems to be completely at odds with what yer chairman has stated.

I just think that your manager, if he is here for the long haul, would at least have been bringing his family... You don't find that a little odd?

Not if his kids are at school mate. I'm sure I read in an interview that was the reason they were still down south.

Halliday, Holt, Tavernier, Waghorn all on 4 year contracts.

What does that say?

What does it say? Probably that I'm talkng pish <cheers>

But, how many young players will sign 1y deals when maybe an Aberdeen or Hearts could offer more job security?

What would most agents be advising they do?
