http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Aberde...ms-desperate/story-21058565-detail/story.html Toward the end of this Bristol Post article, he mentions interference. Anyone know who was/were the instigators? Players or Board?
I thought it was accepted as fact that the board had interfered plenty with transfers, and that money may have been withheld if the board were to veto a signing I remember a while back hearing that McInnes wanted to buy a defender, but we signed Baldock after signing Davies as the board thought we were light on attacking threat.
It is common knowledge that his playing budget was halved in the second year he was here, There is no way he would have been told that was likely to happen during any interviews for the job here (for those who are hard of thinking and assume he knew what he let himself in for!)
I was told that he was charged with, running the first team and getting the academy up to scratch. Along with the other stuff hence the reason he wasn't there when they had that open training day. Just a rumour I heard though.
He will be a very good manager one day. It's a shame he came to us too early. Could end up being the 'one that got away' methinks.
