"There is not a problem with the formation and, for me, 4-3-3 was the best way to play against Blackpool.
"It was good enough last week for West Ham, the team at the top of the league, who won 4-1 at Blackpool and stopped them playing and passing the ball through them.
"As far as I'm concerned, 4-3-3 does not favour Brett Pitman.

Hilarious. He's clearly lost the dressing room and doesn't have the experience to sort it out.

    Thinks you're West Ham! <laugh>

To me it doesnt feel like a 433 formation. At times it looks like we had 3 centre midfielders. Albert playing right wing and 2strikers in an odd 442 with no left sided player.
Or it went to 451 with chris wood playing far left which is as bad as when millen played stead on the left of midfield.

DM came to the club and said he has always played 442 and it has always worked for him yet he hasnt followed whats worked for him.

I hope, yet again, we start 442 in the next game. Get the ball wide and get some crosses in as stead, wood and pitman can all head the ball.

For the life of me, when I saw the starting line up on Sat. I could not believe that BP had been left out, but within 20 mins I was humbly eating my words as two big strikers appeared to be troubling Blackpool. DMc could not legislate for a dodgy ref., a lucky deflection, poor finishing and a midfield and defensive collapse in the second half.
If DMc had picked the team specifically for Blackpool then it nearly came off and shows that he has more about him than KM ever did, so I do have a modicum of hope that we may stay up??
Having said that I would still like to see 4-4-2 with JS & BP starting, could always revert to 4-3-3 if it's not working.
