Forgot to say I was in a meeting today with two Celtic fans one season ticket holder, asked them what they thought of him and both could not praise him enough saying that he likes to play football not hoof it and gets the backing of his players. I know that this has been said on here before but made me feel confident to hear it from someone who has seen it first hand.
no not really. I'm not expecting miracles, the squad is in a poor state, confidence is at an all time low, there wont be no overnight cure, so yeah I'd be happy to be in the championship next season with a view to pushing on.
I agree, we still have the same squad if we expect to much to soon we could be disappointed, championship survival then wait till next season. I am now pissed right of, mrs Redordead has just said he's not young he's 40 WTF does that make me at 45!!
Good news. We have enough quality to get out of the mess we're in but we need a strong character to galvanise them and to get them playing for the shirt, and we seem to have that in DM now. Roll on Sunday!
I think an instant impact would be wishful thinking but here's hoping that we get a result on Sunday. Anyone know what the situation with Wiggles is? Is he staying in a different role?
This is a tough job for DM, are the players underperforming , or are they not quite good enough, survival in the championship is a must, and if he succeeds, i think he would have done a brilliant job.
I would have thought so Chimpster, he has a 3 year contract I think so it would be mad to just let him go and as we know, the u21 contacts he has are valuable to us, so I do hope he stays with the club.
What a relief, thank goodness the board saw sense...! I expect DM to take a few weeks to assess the situation and then we'll see who's considered good enough...
