i had no idea he was up to this - I quite liked him as a player! Perhaps that legendary ‘fight’ in the car park between Carle and McIndoe was around his dodgy (fraudulent) finances? https://www.expressandstar.com/news...r-playboy-former-wolves-star-michael-mcindoe/
I see he owes LJ £48k. 'Barnsley manager Lee Johnson, a former close friend of McIndoe and teammate at Yeovil Town and Bristol City, is owed £48,000.'
Don't let Redprintt if LJ gets it back, he'll want it paid back to the club for all the zillions he's spent on players!!
A great player for us, the only Premiership quality player we had that season - but an utter tool as a person.
Thought Basso, Carey and Marvin were far more important to the side that season. Or have I got the wrong season, quite likely
And even when he beat the defender and got into a good position his final ball was poor. Had a few good games but I didn't really rate him very highly.
Don't let shiny hear those comments. McIndoe was a prat in the first degree and wasn't it him that ended up in jail for assault and ultimately he took a lot of people for a ride without blinking an eye.
McIndoe is one of those journeymen footballers, a bit like JET, who never stayed anywhere for very long. I heard plenty of stories about his lifestyle and gambling habits while he was with us, and he used his transfer signing on fees to repay creditors or people who were pursuing him for large wedges of cash every time he moved clubs apparently. On his day he was a supreme crosser of the ball, but as others have said, way too often he would drift out of position. Shame, but he's one of many over the years to be sucked into such temptations.
