Josn Mceachran today spoke of his frustration at not getting games at Swansea .Hmm.. well it was frustrating for us too mate, seeing our club spunk away big money on wages for a player who clearly has talent but come across as a big time charlie on the field!

Some advice for him would be to work harder on his body shape, put in a shift when selected and dont be afraid to go in for 50/50 tackles !!it would also help if you try to close down opposition players when you dont have the ball! stop wanting to be the guy that just makes the fancy passes and does nonw of the spade work and you will fulfil the dreams of being a top player in the prem league.

Many thought at the time that this was a bit of strange signing but if he as good as he thinks he is then he should ask himself why he wasnt good enough to oust Joe Allen,Leon Britton,Kemy and Gylfi.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, i wish we never wasted a loan signing and he probably wishes he never came.

Josh has alot of work to do,if Brenden thought he was up to it i have no doubt he would have played,we all know Brenden has his favourites and Josh would definatly have been one of those!

Good luck to him in the future, hope he makes the grade but i get the feeling he thinks he is already big time and thats probably whats holding him back, great players work just as hard as crap players, somebody should tell him that.

Forgive me for saying this but I thought he was crap for us, I am not dissing the guy as I bet he will become a top player, but I just thought his attitude was all wrong. Waste of time with the benefit of hindsight

Valley-That is a fair comment, seems that we are being a bit harsh on young Josh but he was given chances to impress,he just wasnt very good. Im certain that Rodgers thought he was going to get more out of him than he did, when i heard Brenden bullshitting to the press by saying things like" its not just about playing for him,its about working in a group and being out of the comfort zone" etc,etc bla bla.. thats when i knew our manager ****ed up by signing him!!

If he thinks its hard here what about trying to break into Chelseas midfield??
If he was a Welsh lad or a Scottish lad im almost certain there would not be the same level of hype surrounding this player,i beleive the english media are trying too hard to push some of these talanted young players into the fray because there is a lack of talent at england senior level, scott sinclair and fabio borini moved away from chelsea to progress their career's and its helped them 10 fold, josh has plenty of talent but IMO is lacking in so many other areas,i feel he is looking at others to blame for his halt in progess but the problem may well be more down to him than anything else.

I genuinely want the kid to do well,he has had the best of everything at chelsea but maybe that knocks the desire out of some of these boys a little bit ??

I think he should have gone out on loan to a championship side, the premier is a step up to far for him just now, he won't break into the Chelsea side in a month of Sundays. But playing for a good championship side may benefit him, and allow him to get plenty of game time. We can't experiment with him as every point is vital and some dropped could relegate us.

I wish the lad success but he's got to realise that he is just a kid and has a lot to improve.

Valley you are 100% right. when he did play he was poor. He is obviously a player with talent but has a long way to go and didnt deserve any more football with us. He slowed the play down to much and seemed to labour all the time. I cant remember the game he started at the liberty and got taken off for Joey and as soon as he came on it sparked things to life for us.

    I wouldnt want him back.

He has talent, there is no doubting that, but he was a little fish in a big pond of midfielders

And i can beleive it too, we should really offer Joe a fresh deal and make him one of the higher paid players, that will IMO keep him happy and putto bed any move to the scousers.
Josh mc being on big money at his age is probably the reason why he thinks he is the finished article, getting a mans wage but is still a boy ..in footballing terms. Joe has built up his hunger and desire over the years josh already thinks he has made it :)

not his style of football or he is not use to the fast pace of passing, he must have something to be where he is and its not really his fault that he was not use to our style of football.......good luck to him for the future.....

" Reminded me of a young Gower " .. Why , was in the top of Europe in creating chances & lead Swansea in assists in the Premier too with limited games . ! .

Agree with this. Josh has talent but needs games. Your midfield did well so couldn't give him games. Think he needs a full season in the championship and put some hard work in. He's done nothing yet. I just hope he doesn't waste it.

I'm pretty sure Rodgers was counting on McEachran to play more games than Sig but Sig was a bit of a surprise so McEachran rode the bench .

It's a good thing the managers do the rating .... waste of money musty ? Shake your head & tell me if you hear anything . Some of the best value we have gotten since leaving League 1 is from Gower's minutes . Played anywhere in midfield the last 4 seasons , under 3 managers as others went down to injury & did more than ok . I'm mystified by the verbal abuse thrown Gower's way as he chipped in getting us to the bigs & helped us stay there .
