Former Rangers goalkeeper Andy Goram says McCoist will be relieved to get out of the spotlight. Goram told Sky Sports News HQ: "It's a sad day, I said before that there were three options - Coisty (McCoist) stays, they pay him up, or he goes on gardening leave and they have taken that option. **** me the oracle has spoken. He really put his neck on the line coming up with the three options that cover every realistic eventuality.
McCoist has had to put up with a lot over the last year or two, administration, liquidation etc, I think he has handled himself with dignity and I guess as Goram says he will be happy to get out of the spotlight for a while.
