Would cap off a fantastic summer transfer window if as reported we bring these three into the club. Don't know much about McClean apart from he's 22 plays for Derry City, left winger who is apparently pacey and strong. Worth a gamble at 400k. Wright Phillips seems as though it would be a permanent deal and if comes off would be some signing. Would add pace into our midfield but we would need city to pay part of the lads wages and wonder if they will do that. Bellamy on a loan would be a great signing. Can play on the left or upfront and would bring abit of mental toughness into the side, he seems a c**t off the pitch but on it he certainly gives his all like SWP City would have to pay part of his wages aswell. Get these 3 in and we can seriously push on from last season.
I've never been that convinced by Wright-Phillips, but Bellamy would add value with his pace and aggression, plus I think he's all heart -whereas as SWP (...whilst he may well look for an opportunity to try and resurrect his career) I fear, is a potential mercenary.
Just cannot get "exited"(sic) over SWP, Bellamy I can see the attraction and the young lad I know nothing about but worth a punt if he has pace - could this be Pop Robson's first punt?
Massive? £400k? You're full of ****, it's a drop in the ocean regardless of what league the lad plays in.
Just thinking if these three come off and we manage to move on Angeleri, McCartney, Nos and Killa this transfer window what a squad we will have GK - Mignolet , Westwood, Gordon, Carson FB's - Bardsley, Elmohamady, O'Shea, Richardson CB - Brown, Bramble, Turner, Ferdinand, Laing RM - Wright Phillips, Larsson CM - Cattermole, Gardner, Vaughan, Colback, Meyler LM - Bellamy (CF aswell obv.), McClean, Cook CF - Gyan, Sessegnon, Wickham, Ji, Campbell, Tounkara
League of Ireland transfers last year to prove me right and show how much of a ****ing *****l you are. I'm not saying you're paying over the odds or anything you ****ing ******, I was just pointing out that he must be highly rated by both his own club and yours to be paying what looks like a massive fee in comparison to others leaving the league he plays in.
IMO I think Tounkara has got more chance of making it than Noble, when I see Noble come on for us I dunno why I just dont think he is going to do anything. I watched him a few times for the resveres and he scored goals but he should score a hell of a lot more from the amount of chances that were being created for him. Tounkara is build like a tank, has great pace and good with the ball at his feet for a big man
David Meyler cost a similar amount, Daryl Murphy, Roy Keane was 47,000 and that was 21 years ago. Not that massive mate! Yes it's one of the larger fees but no one's going to shake their head in disbelief at it. Calm down with that language.
he's thinking in terms of the amount that Fat Ashley is willing to invest in skunkcastles team. 400K is a massive amount to them, poor ****ers we should have a whip round to help them out.
canny goal he scored at york mind, but i prefer noble, my nephew watches a lot of youth games and rates noble in high regard, i reckon they'll both be loaned out anyway poolie
So there has been only 1 more similar transfer fee in the past 5? 6? seasons. Thanks for proving me right.
Much better players than Wright-Phillips for the price imo. He's one of those players (like Glen Johnson or Gareth Barry) who SOMEHOW manages to be sold for huge transfer fees and get international caps, despite not really being that good. Bellamy is alright. He's pretty much a 1 in 4 striker in the EPL and has been for years. Not prolific, but he's good for another striker to play alongside.
