Looks like he's gone, SSN reporting he won't be in charge for Monday's game against Leicester and it looks like Benitez is going to take over.
S'wot I'm hearing. For the rest of the season, or a three year contract, with or without a relegation get out clause, with or without final say on transfers, being current sticking points. Or Carver back. Who can tell? It's Newcastle.
From the Newcastle Chronicle... It is understood that Steve McClaren has learned of his departure via the media. Not told face to face. Shabby.
Guy from work went to first Newcastle match for 2 years last Saturday( he is from Newcastle) and walked out after 50 Minutes lol. Must be in the DNA

As Schteve is on the board, it would have been great to see the boardroom discussion. I'm guessing there was at least one in favour of him staying
Apparently he hasn't actually gone yet, although he probably will now as the club have embarrassed themselves and they can't really go back on it.
That whole region should be dropped into the sea. Once our Ernie has built an Ark to sail away on safely obvz.
I actually thought once they sacked McClaren they'd go for Bruce... They always seem to go for the wrong kind of manager and Bruce would be the safe option and would more than likely keep them up.
Typical Newcastle Utd. Only a madman would want to take over the mess that is NUFC. Newcastle and Aston Villa got very lucky last season and hopefully time is up on the PL for them both,,, at least for a season,, maybe.!! What a shambles. FACT.
Apart from one successful season in Holland, another example of a manager who keeps getting appointed in spite of himself!
Why Tickles. They've signed a lot of players Mclaren wanted. Benitez is a good shout. I like Steve, ex City an all that. Decent bloke. Sometimes it just doesnt work out. He can take over at Boro when Karankas ****ed up this season.
