Poor old Schteve (did we all see THAT interview)

Seriously though, the forest board or the acquisitions panel as they have named the bunch of ******s who deal with the signings obviously dont have a clue. (I think David Pleat is one of them)

Can't believe that Schteve wouldn't have seen any of the stories about their purchasing department...sounds like Tescos!!!...and realised that he wasn't going to get backing for new signings!

    To protect his rep??????

Funny that I thought it was the sign off a good coach when you could compete with what you got and make what you got better???? Not who you couldn’t bring in.

Look at DJ for us the only year he got the players he wanted it cost him his job. every other year most people agree he got the best out of what we had. Dose that make him a better coach???

Don’t get me wrong I can understand his frustrations if he was promised funds and then didn’t get it. Again just like DJ and our golden ticket scandal DJ stayed and got us too the playoff’s. Steve though is effectively saying I am not good enough to get the best out of these players.

I think he underestimated how competitive this league is. I can understand why he went to Forest, competing at the top of the table, good fanbase etc and thought it would be a good place to rebuild his rep by getting them promoted as they were in with a good shout, but then came to realise what a bunch of plums are in charge.

    Check Wiki out

'In June 2011 Billy Davies's contract was terminated,[36][37] and he was replaced as manager by Steve McClaren, who signed a three year contract, and has since be right royally rogered over transfers.[38][39]'

Gotta love the way you can edit Wiki, (this was'nt me by the way)

quite enjoying this. nearly as much as i enjoyed your fans calling for BD to leave, safe in the knowledge that the reality would be much worse...

Hasn't he got pretty much the same squad that BD had? Plus 4-5 of his signings. I'd written them off as a threat this season as soon as they employed him.

There's enough at Forrest for a decent manager to have a good crack at the playoffs. Lets hope they can talk him round.

It's questionable whether any of those 4/5 players were actually his preferred targets. The way their transfer acquisition committee works, any number of them could have been 2nd, 3rd or 4th choice...George Boyd springs to mind (never said that before). You can understand why Davies and now Schteve get pissed off. They can't see the wood for the trees :D

i've got to say i feel a bit sorry for shteeeeve. first of all he goes to wolfsburg where he isnt in charge of transfers, then he goes to nottingham where it also seems he doesnt have the final say. if the transfers turn out to be poor, then surely the club can only blame themselves as its not solely the managers fault?

i'm guessing he went there with the expectation of large amounts of cash being available to get forest into the premiership. well so far they havnt signed many players who will guarantee getting out of the division like leicester and west ham have <ok>

LOL the squad on paper looked brill Whitts, Pratley, Messi and more made him lick his lips. All this talk off quitting must have come from a recent board meeting in which he brought up the subject off the missing players that had not turned up for training.

The board responded with “Hmmmm now steeeeeve we must point out that whilst we said FACT. A FACT in Nottingham Forest is a very different FACT to most other parts of the world”.

I think Steve misheard Mark Arthur. When he mentioned FACT, he really said we're FUCT.
