Looks like Harry won't be on the golf any time soon.
He has placed Steve McClaren in charge of the Europe games.

QPR will start the new season without manager Harry Redknapp who has missed their pre-season trip to Austria.
Even though he hasn’t travelled on the conditioning trip – former England manager Steve McClaren is taking charge of training - Redknapp is still calling the shots and Rangers have left behind a series of big names, who can all leave the relegated club. Striker Loic Remy, a target for Newcastle, has joined up with the squad.
But among those high profile players left in England are Joey Barton, Anton Ferdinand, Adel Taarabt, Jose Bosingwa, Luke Young and Samba Diakite.

It leaves Rangers in turmoil as they prepare for the new season, with their manager suffering the effects of a cartilage operation that saw him taken to their first pre-season game at Exeter in a wheelchair.
‘It’s not looking good,’ said one source at the club. ‘There is no manager and there isn’t exactly a rush of new players, either. It looks like it is going to be another tough season. We hope Harry comes back soon, but it is odd to start pre-season without the manager.’
Redknapp is at home after knee surgery that could sideline him for at least another six weeks. They play Besiktas on Saturday.
Painful: Redknapp could still be on crutches at the start of the season as QPR aim to bounce back to the Premier League

The club is hoping to sign Gary Hooper from Celtic. The striker did not travel to Northern Ireland last night for their Champions League encounter with Cliftonville.
Rangers need to sell before they can buy to bring the players Redknapp wants for a promotion push.
McLaren has joined the club on a short-term basis and is working with Redknapp’s regular lieutenants Joe Jordan and Kevin Bond.

Why exactly does it leave us in turmoil just because Harry had a knee op? Oh wait, it comes from a "source' at the club - must be made up bollocks then!

"The 66-year-old was at St James Park on Friday night to see his team draw 0-0 with Exeter City in their latest pre-season friendly. And it needed three men - two stewards and a kindly QPR supporter - to lift his wheelchair to his seat at the top of the Flybe stand."

I would ask for a second opinion his knee wasn't the problem ... it's his head

Is that Wally in the fluorescent vest, tie & dress pants, while the rest of the crew goes casual in shorts? If so, he looks like part of a road construction crew, although I guess our team is currently in that state though.

2 weeks to the start of the season, the state of the squad does look a cause for concern. Can't quite understand why Harry's left out senior players from the Austrian trip because we may well not be able to offload the likes of Taarabt, Bosingwa and Barton in time, and then presumably they'll be on the field or the bench on August 3rd

This operation was obviously planned and its now clear why SMC was taken in on a short term contract. Good planning IMO

He's either a roadworks sign / lollipop holder or he's a politician, minus the hard hat. By the looks of his red cheeks, he could also be a red wine connoisseur ...........( not that there is anything wrong with that. )

My new positive out look is starting to get shakey, need to see some movement in the transfer market in and out sharpish.

Think the policy is going to be to bring in replacements once managed to get some high earners off the books so may not happen that quickly & quite likely after the season has started.
