If they're paying his wages it's fine! We weren't likely to get a fee for him anyhow, what with him being awful and that.

He used to be a decent natural left back. Bit shocked you don't remember him mate he was decent for us for years. He's now passed it and there's no life in his legs.
He was decent first time round but when he came back he was truly horrendous! Keane's biggest waste of money??
He started life as a Centre Back, and everyone had high hopes. Hasn't all been bad. I recall him having an excellent understanding down the left with Arca. It wasn't his fault that Keane bought him back.
He was at Sunderland from youth team level and I honestly thought he was going to be a real top class player when he broke into the first team...He left for West Ham when we got relegated, and came back to Sunderland a couple of years back and has been a shadow of his former self. I would imagine that he will not be missed by many on here.
Looks like a done deal. Wages off the books...time to bring in Bellamy or Kranjcar. If the left side gets sorted, we certainly look like a top 8 club. As is, hard to say, probably same as last year. I don`t think we should show any animosity to him - did a decent job for us once - RK brought him back for stupid cash (fee and wages) and he took it - hand on heart which one of us wouldn`t. Don`t think it was a question of him not trying when he returned but just that he couldn`t do it anymore - not sad to see him go but wish him well.
