Y=es I think you'll find that he was third place behind Bruce and Warnock....

Agree I think Bruce will do OK down at Wolves - bit like he did at Wigan

I was referring to a thread which was dicussed last week asking who we thought would be next to go (I thought McCleish). I am aware that we have a new manager, and also Warnock is no longer at QPR thankyou....

Real shame as I'll always have a soft spot for him. However, their fans must be feeling just the way we were when Bruce was leading us to relegation.
Good luck to Mick and Wolves

It's a shame for Mick, but the writing has been on the wall for some time.

After the debacle yesterday, they looked nailed on certainties to be relegated IMO. Im sure they will be hoping for a lift with a new manager.

I still think they are a poor team though.

I have met Mick Mac a few times and always found him to be nothing but a gentleman...I'm sorry that it has just not worked out for him at Wolves..

Very sorry for Mick Mac and Wolves. In his interview after the match yesterday he looked and talked as if he had the weight of the world on his shoulders. Even Lee Dixon picked up on it on MOTD2 saying something like he had never seen him look and sound so depressed.

I hope they stay up. Steve Bruce might just be the man to do it this season, but he won't keep them there in the long term. if he gets the job maybe we can sell him Elmo for £10m!!

I Have a soft spot for Mick. He did get us promoted, but as was usual he did not receive much in the way of financial backing.

I think he'll always be in work in the Championship where he can deliver without too much outlay

As for yesterday, WBA looked good and of course we go to the Hawthorns in a couple of weeks.

Shame as Mick is a decent bloke but after yesterday's hammering the writing was on the wall. Good luck to Mick and Wolves

Had to go to be honest.

He's done great to get them up and establish them, but there is absolutely no sign of progress, and they are in real danger of going down.

Shipping 5 at home in a derby, well that was always gonna be it.

His reputation as a solid manager remains intact IMO, he'll not be short of offers.

After all, keeping Wolves up was a significant achievement.

It's a pity they hadn't given Mick Mac the money they are spending on the new stand, would have been better spent on players.
A new stand is going to look fantastic in the championship when it is half full, tells you everything the majority of chairmen know about football.
