Floyd Mayweather has said that Miguel Cotto was the toughest fight he has ever faced. Mayweather won a 12 round UD on Saturday but was made to dig deep for the victory. Mayweather bloodied roughed up by Cotto was made to miss and looked to be struggling with the pace in the middle rounds. Floyd went on to say Cotto brought out the best of him, making throw combos, the right hook and the left uppercut. After this tough fight Floyd is considering retirement, he say he is 80-20 in favour of retirement Floyd claims his options are low and their is nobody to fight for him out there. Is this guys serrious? Manny Pacquiao, Sergio Martinez and you even have the option of taking on the easier big pay days against Canelo and Khan.
I watched his interview straight after the fight and he said he wants to fight Pac before the end of the year - He's far too good to retire.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EP3qBjuJpLk I wasn't doubting that he'd said that, purely that in this interview straight after the Cotto fight, he states twice that he wants to make the Money vs Pac fight happen.
I wouldn't believe what Floyd says regarding the Pacquiao fight. He once said, "Pacquiao is next". Then a week later he said when asked about that statement, "I only said that because it was what the fans wanted to hear".
