    I ate it for years in Germany, with a ladelfull of ketchup too.

    It only works on frozen chips I find, Chippy chips tend to be soggy in the bag so it does'nt work with them, only really works with thinnish crispy chips like you get in Europe and Indian/Chinese/Kebab style shops in the UK <ok>

    I don't like chips, but if I was having some, i'd have them with mayo

    If you've got flour and butter you can make a pastry mix and use that, bit chewy without the suet but still good.
