I ran out of time for him back in the summer. Its sooooo blatently obvious that if he wanted to stay he would have signed months ago.
Don't get taken in by all the "I realy love this club, the fans ect" bullshit that plyers spout off.
He want's a big money deal "somewhere" and we just can't afford what his leach of an agent is demanding so he will be off chasing a pot of gold soon. Its the way of the footballer I am afraid!

I know a lot of us are getting tired of the antics of NM and it's time he put up or shut up! If he really believes that he has a future in the prem I wish him good luck but he will have to show more than we are seeing at present to stand even a snowballs chance in hell.

If you really wan to sit on the bench at Wigan then go ahead Nicky but, like a lot of others, I think you will be better served by signing a new contract at AG. Get your head out of your backside and smell the roses!!!!

I agree with the above, but feel its worth pointing out that a footballer's career is shot by the early 30s, so who can blame them for trying to make as much money as possible while they can.
Most players are only capable of big money moves during about 6 years of their career. Prior to this they are too untried and after they have only a few years left at the top for the clubs to justify that expenditure.
Then they join a large amount of hopefuls trying to get on a BBC panel, or have to start a new career as a car salesman.
Maynard should give us one more season, but who are we to deny him his place at the top ?
I have mixed feelings about Nicky. It could be that Pitman and Stead are the ultimate answer, and just need time to build up a head of steam just as NM does. All in all, January should be a fascinating time for us

Many good points here and agree with most. I am fed up with his "will I - won't I" and also beginning to seriously doubt his ability is as good as we all thought two years ago. The goals he scores are crackers but it's the one's he doesn't get that worry me. At Watford, against Boro and again at Derby, he had presentable chances with shots from edge of box all of which were sent weakly wide or over the bar if he caught it cleanly. In my opinion, he doesn't work the keeper enough.

Move on,tell the club one way or another.
    It getting beyond a joke.
Especially when we have a striker on the bench which in my opinion will do a handsome job for us .:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Fellas and any ladies present - I really am genuinly posting in peace - I have no wish to wind anyone up, if my input is not welcome I apologise.

I said at the time of Leicester chasing/pressurising Maynard that he wouldn't sign for us because he wants a monster signing on fee for himself after his contract expires and he goes on a free, I still believe that to be true. I think Maynards intentions were made known to those that "matter" and that is why the Premier League boys didn't come calling pre-season

Maynard is playing stum, contradicting story's from the city faithfull, some say he is going, some say he is staying.
The fact is he ain't set the world a light since his return.
We have a guy called Brett pitman who in my opinion is a better all round striker just sat on his backside.
A more natural goal scorer who would more than fill maynards place.
