me may be up against him in a couple games time, signed for what they said they would pay no arguing seems like from the tone it was a big pay cut
Perhaps a side skiing trip might help his cause. You will have probably noticed that apparently he and his agent (bloodsucker) were shocked at the offer from MK Dons but decided to accept it anyway. When Nicky left us I posted for him to be careful what he wished for and, lo and behold, here we see a perfect example of how an agent can wrongly influence a young man to go where angels fear to tread. His dreams never came true in the way he wanted, other than a few games in the Premiership, but at least his offspring probably don't have a Somerset twang. The past is just the past so let's all move on with our lives and forget the "what ifs".
we ought to cheer him when he comes on and everytime he gets the ball.. that would confuse him ... about the only cheers he will have had for a couple seasons
Clearly Nicky's departure was prompted by disillusionment with the decline at The Gate which was gaining momentum at the time and frankly, looking at what happened here after he left, would anyone say that he or his agent got it wrong..?. He obviously had more information about the behind the scenes action and could see the writing on the wall so I do not begrudge him trying to further his career for one second. His mistake was probably not going to Leicester for what we all thought was silly money at the time, the money for which may have saved us the pain of relegation.... As far as I am concerned, his goals single-handedly saved us from relegation and delayed the inevitable in at least 2 of the seasons that he was here so I for one will applaud him for his service to the club if he plays...
I've don't care less about Nicky Maynard, he was a hero when he played for us, he chose to leave us and now both he and we have moved on, I obviously hope we beat MK Dons, other than that, nothing...
that is not what happened. bloke strung city along and left for the cash not the premiership which he said was his target.
I had no problem with NM, good player and maybe the kind of striker we are missing....his downfall was him being injury prone, apart from that knew where the net was!
He said some stupid things when he left - and I'm sure now regrets that - we should hold the moral high ground ignore him I just hope that the idiots don't start singing that song with the "C" word in it - after all there are kids at the game
