Im not convinced by that. But then again with the statement their manager made this morning he sounded a bit defeatest
it better, its been a turtle for over a month now I love one of the replies to Berts post! I'd be dissapointed if it was £5m and Waggy, thats just too much.
that's class! Agree with Andy, £6m plus Kermit makes more sense! As much as I love Waggy, if we exchanged him for a 20 goal a season striker we'd probably take it...but I'd rather we not lose him! Maynard better fire us to promotion if we're giving him up!
But if anyone says we are paying too much for him I give my generic response - it won't seem like too much if we go up! I know it's a big if but I really do think this would be a good signing if he was fit, it could be the last piece in the jigsaw so to speak.
We have been linked with former Man City defensive midfielder Gelson Fernandes. He was the one who scored the winning goal for Switzerland against Spain in last years World Cup
I think one way or another by this time next week we will have an answer from Maynard as the Real Madrid friendly is a week tommorow and Cov game is 2 weeks tommorow. We need to get a striker in before the season starts as we dont have goalscorer at the minute. If we dont get a striker in for the first few games of the season it wont be the end of the world but we need a goalscorer. We have King, Gallagher and Nugent who will all score their fair share of goals
Nicky Maynard is starting for Bristol City tommorow against Yeovil so that means if he is signing it isnt imminent
Yeah, I'm not sure that Maynard starting would effect anything - Kyle Naughton started for Spurs in South Africa on Wednesday then went to Norwich on Thursday.
