The manager hinted a deal could be struck at a later stage if the terms were more favourable, but it appears that would take considerable movement. Bruce said: 'He is a good pro and he is a good player, a very good player, but we have made that decision at the moment. Who knows? Later on, we might address that. 'I have always prided myself that you have to get good value for money. It is part of good management - it certainly is part of my remit too, of course, that you have to look after the club as well. 'It's a disappointment because I could have done with him for the last couple of games, but if we had played him, it would have triggered the automatic clause which was in there and at this particular moment, it's too rich.'
All part off the ritual dance of negotiation. Sometimes you have to walk away from the table to get the other party to budge. Watch this space.
it's just bruce being nice, and doesn't want to hurt the lads feelings... hardly gonna say "we've sent muntari back, he's ****ing ****e not what we we're expecting at all, i wouldn't pay two bob for him, never mind 6-8 million". mind that would be closer to the truth....
or Bruce might just be the knob some think that he is and is trying to negotiate the price down................not even Bruce would do that would he?
I wanted too see what he would be like with a pre season under his belt, same with Sessegnon but he has came good now he has confidence, 2 assists last game.
