but how is Carroll supposed to pass a medical whilst he's injured?

And who says he wants to go? If he tells the scousers to **** off , surely that means he's staying?

Didn't Gosling pass a medical when he was injured..

source close to the player told the Evening Chronicle today:

“He’s in Newcastle and he’s going to be at the training ground today.”

“That should tell you everything you need to know about whether he’s staying or going.”

“He’s tired of saying how much he wants to stay.”

This feels fishey, come on Ashley, please don't sell him..

sorry but he is back in training, and passing a medical is not if your injured or not, it about respirtory and cardio issues, and if they are injured then how the recovery is going and wether there is a chance of recovery, we signed ben arfa with a double leg break and gosling with no knees, so that really is clutching at straws.

Newcastle fans, once furore dies, must accept £35m could not be refused - but they will righly expect Ashley to reinvest it in the team.

I don't have any hope about this anymore.. Bye Carroll, It was nice having you for a while.. so much for the new Shearer :(

Ashley can say to the buying club; it'll take an offer of £35 million just to talk to him.

    That's what he's done.

Now that there is an agreement over the costs between the two clubs; Liverpool are allowed to approach the player and talk to him.

Andy has made it clear that he does not want to leave.

If the player does not reach agreements on a contract then no deal is done.

Also; it's understood that Liverpool need to sell Torres to finance any deal.

It seems Torres is being held back until Liverpool find a replacement.

Radio5 reported that Liverpool made a £30m bid for Andy Carroll on Monday morning. SkySports then ran the same story, claiming that the bid had been rejected. However other media outlets put the bid at £25m. NUFC have said nothing.

NUFC then informed journalists that Alan Pardew's already-rescheduled pre-Fulham press conference had been cancelled and rescheduled for tomorrow.

And by 3pm, SkySports presumed to tell the nation that "Newcastle would sell Andy Carroll to Liverpool for £35M." The Times then followed that up by claiming that the Anfield club would meet that asking price.
