If it fails do you think he'll blame the free availability of Wi Fi hotspots in McDonalds....<whistle>

10 GB data allowance a month (on the best package), i can download that in 30 minutes and upload it in 2 hours.

If it`s primarily for rural areas, so if they have not got anything at all, I can see it being a success, but if he is going against some big players, BT/Virgin in the cities, I dont think he has a chance.

Hope he's not using it to watch streaming live football.

But here in the UK most parts of the country have lots of choice so that suppresses prices. But try and get super fast (or even fast!) broadband in rural Northumberland for example. This seems like a reasonable solution for places far from a telephone exchange or without cable connections.

I don't know what it is like in the rest of Europe but I was looking for broadband for my apartment in Spain (which is in quite a remote town on the coast between Valencia and Barcelona) and it costs a fortune to get it installed there because Telefonica, is like BT were back in the bad old days. Satellite broadband there costs much more than these prices too so I think SNQ may have priced it right for the market he is aiming at.
