Who he? He's a young winger from Germany who is the latest name linked with Fulham according to the press. I know I ought to just ignore these rumours until they become something more solid (or at least until the transfer window is close to opening), but I can't. Does anyone know anything about him? I'm particularly addressing this to anyone who frequents this board and who lives in Germany - yes, DR, I'm talking to you!
Captain, I confess I've never heard of him, but I follow the EPL a little more closely than the Bundesliga. Kaiserslautern is my local team and I see them a few times a year, but my heart's in southwest London, as far as football is concerned. He's a Hamburg player on loan to a Div II team in Dusseldorf. If I were to hazard a guess, Jol and/or one of his scouts spotted this kid last year and took an interest. I do know this: the Bundesliga II is NOT the equivalent of the English Championship in terms of quality and competitiveness. Yes, it's one rung below the top German league, but the quality drops off significantly thereafter. There are no teams like West Ham or Birmingham laboring in Bundesliga II. I'd say the B2 league is more like England's Div I. So, if he's 21 years old and still slugging it out in the second league, he's not worth getting excited over. But one never knows.
Too bad his name isn't spelled Max Beisster (add an s) ... that would translate to Max Biter in English. We could put him up there with Maumar "Sherman" Tankovic and put a real scare into people.

ive only watched a few games this reason and i know he is playing really well for Dusseldorf, hes got something like 5 goals and 6 assists already in 12 games, i try to follow all leagues like German, italian, ukraine, and russian, sounds promising,
