Returning from loan spell at Yeovil seemingly at our request, anyone know if he's any good? played 55 times for Yeovil in two spells.
I used to play against him as a youngster for several years. He's obviously developed a lot since then. As much as I like to big him up, he isn't premier league standard. However, stranger things have happened and from knowing the kid, he will never not give 100% in every game and work hard.
He'd certainly bring our age profile down a bit, stick him in the side and we'd probably then only average about 46. There's a lot to be said for players who give it 100% but we definitley need some more premier league quality, who knows may a spell at Championship club would help his progress.
he's a similar sort of player to Shaun Derry. Probably a bit quicker, and he's equally adept as a centre back though. I would like to see how he faired in the championship, because he certainly has a lot of promise.
I remember at the beginning of the season we wanted to send him to the championship but nothing really worked out. He must be rated pretty highly at the club as he signed a contract extension til 2014 (I think). He was great for me in the prem on football manager though so Im pretty sure that sorts out the matter.
Saw him play for Yeovil against Orient a couple of months ago. Looked okay but not Premier League Standard. My Yeovil mate not happy we have recalled him!
