I do think he is over rated. Hes won big trophies I know but I have doubts about his abilities I read this morning as well Atleticos 11 cost £ 38 million. He is a great manager and coach to be fair. Whatever he does, however he chooses to do it, it works. And if it was easy then everyone would be doing it. This is a guy who took Porto to a UEFA Cup final and won, then the very next season took them to a CL final and won. Porto lol, that is unreal. Inter were a nothing club, but he took the players he had and turned them into European Champions. 87 games undefeated at home. Tactically he knows his stuff. In footballing terms he's one of the best in the world, if not the best, currently. Now that's over, let's consider the man. He is without doubt, as appealing as a bag of warm sick for those who watch and follow football. The disrespect he shows his peers at times shows a lack of character. Usually it comes back to bite him on the arse - like his comments about teams parking the bus. What he said about Wenger being a "specialist in failure" was a disgrace, and just like all bad karma, it's coming back to bite him on the arse. That label he gave can at present just as easily apply to him IF that's his definition of failure. Having said that, something about him as a person certainly carries favour with players. The vast majority speak highly of him and most would walk through walls for him.
Good post, you make some good points He is a manager that divides opinion but imo, he is over rated. And we could argue all day back and forth as to the reasons why but like I say, ppl have different opinions on him. Im talking on his abilities He has a squad full of talent, they shouldve done better imo But like I say, I cant be bothered to argue the toss about Mouriniho all day
