Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has fiercely defended the club's position over Matt Phillips and appeared to criticise Southampton's actions. Holloway said "I changed my phone number about seven months ago and one of my players told me that I don't answer my calls. How did he know a manager was calling me on a wrong number? "You are going to have to get up early to get past me". Presumably a reference to Matt Phillips? Anyone know what the **** he is trying to say?

Welcome Jordy. It's hard to believe that most of Twitter was moaning about our lack of transfer activity up until yesterday. Now they are about to explode with excitement. Anyway, who knows if Matt Phillips' cousin actually knows anything about the deal or has just been reading the same articles we have. But it looks good.

Glad to see we agree! A front 3 of Ramirez, Lallana, Phillips and then put Lambert/Rodriguez in front and the 3 is pretty fluid and mobile. Sign both of them and a couple of good CB's and we'll be fine.
