    Leicester Fan in peace:

I was just wondering what the fans opinion of Matty is currently. He is certainly one of the good guys of football and would love him to succeed with big Nigel!

he has done a decent job for us so far already got a couple of goals and looks like a striker that can create something from nothing which he will have to do at times with our midfield

Seems confident enough so far, and isn't afraid to put the work in, but like Cumbrian says, I think he seems to need a few chances to score. Saying that, we need to sort out our midfield to start giving him a few more chances. Once that's sorted I think he'll be in his element here.

I'm impressed with what I've seen.

I'm glad we've got him. Will be interesting to see how well he does once we have a more creative midfielder like Belaid in there as well as a target man (would have loved for us to have got Charlie Austin).

I don't think we are jayc89, toptigersfan was just saying he would have liked us to have signed a target man, as we all would have.

I have this argument almost every week with the guy who I coach our U16s with. He is the traditional 442 with a little and large show up front and I'm more of a 443\451 creative type lol!

IMO I dont think there is any need for a big target man IF the midfield and guys up front can pass the ball well and create their own chances. I hate lumping the ball forward to a big guy, but I guess it would always be useful as a plan B if nothing else

great player, think him and mclean will make a good partnership, especially with belaid coming in, weve looked far better up front with someone who can hold onto the ball.

All I'm saying is that it would be nice to have the option. Certainly in the first half against Reading when our use of the ball was somewhat restricted to hoofball for the majority of the time (I know we were under pressure and so were probably playing percentages). I know Matty and certainly McLean have a hell of a jump on them so can go up for high balls with the best of them. I'd just prefer if we had the option of having taller players up front. Saying that Garcia wasn't doing too bad was he?

So far, so good, he's looked handy for us, though I wish we'd partner him with Stewart, the pair of them would be very hard to defend against.

I have been impressed with him so far, to be honest a donkey could have come in the side and shown more promise than our previous strikers (bar a few of Jays showings), I think Matty and the team in general will need a little time to get in the flow of things but I expect them all to be involved in some decent future soon!

Ah im glad all-in-all it appears very positive. He is very much a confidence player but if you keep your faith in him then he will produce!

Good Luck to the Hull lot for the rest of the season: i think its going to be an exciting finish!

That's the formation used when the manager tells the goalkeeper to go forward
and try and get a goal. We use it quite often at Darlington!

Has looked good and positive. City miss the Marlon King type up front to stick/hold the ball. If he had a partner like that we would get the goals we need.

Being a good addition to the squad, seems to know where the goal is which is more than what can be said for most of our team before christmas last season! Although like some have said he sometimes needs a few chances to score, he's pretty consistent and with a full season under his belt with us last season he could have been well into double figures and a strong candidate for player of the season. Good luck to the foxes for next season barring the games against us.
