    Ipswich fan in peace..

apparently we are trying to sign Matty Fryatt on loan, I would have posted this on the Hull board as well but know they spend a large amount of their time on here so two birds, one stone

I always thought he was decent and seemed like a natural finisher but is he actually still any good? I remember hearing murmurs of you lot being in for him recently so could be both of us wanting to add him to our ranks.. After the way Vardy has played recently he'd only be as back up at your place and would probably fill that role with us as well.

There were rumours about him going to Forest recently, think it then spread to Leicester.

I personally don't rate him very highly, i think he wastes too many chances, also seems to be a bit of a confidence player, i was happy we got rid of him.
Im talking about his time at Leicester though, Hull fans seem to think that he has improved since then and they would have a more current opinion on him.

If he does goto you, you gotta give him time to get match fit and build up his confidence, then he may start producing, but i wouldn't count on it.

Fryatt is a good championship striker but no more. He has to play every week to get the best out of him, if he is in and out of the team he struggles for form and confidence

A confident Matty Fryatt will score goals, he is quite wasteful at times and very frustrating

A non confident Matty Fryatt is a complete waste of space and time

Worth noting though Matty has only ever played well since under Nigel Pearson since he left Walsall.

He's averaged about one goal in 3 games throughout his career (at all clubs) ... intelligent footballer, quick feet, not particularly quick otherwise and doesn't convert as often as he should ... will score goals at Championship level but would only get on our bench now tbf.

good steady striker, not the best but always one of my favourites. No ego at all. Score a sh*tload in L1. Good signing for you, i imagine a starter. PLays best off a target man
