Your not, its all about merchandising, first on the gravy train was David Baddiel on the BBC telling us what a great comedian he was.
"Chooses"I may be a cynic but I really don't buy this routine from all celebrities, it all looks fake and contrived to me.
Of course Matthew Perry gave to charity as do many stars with time and money on their hands, when you're raking £1m an episode it's not exactly crippling or exhausting tbh.
What's hypocritical is when people like Perry, Gascoigne, Merson, etc, earn money taking about their addictions in books, chat shows, talk-ins, etc. Even more so when they laugh it up and make it sound ever so cool and 'boys will be boys' with anecdotes about what massive amounts they managed to get down their throats or up their nose.
There comes a time when, despite all the advantages they have over normal addicts, they carry on and lose my sympathy. Perry is obviously an intelligent educated man with a huge network of support, access to the best treatment and rehab yet still chooses to relapse and get wasted.
Some would argue they have absolutely no choice which is their guess and fair enough.

Read his book then come back with an opinionThat's my opinion based on guesswork and experience as is yours, neither of us know him ...
... unless you're saying that everyone who chooses to get pissed, or take drugs, must be uncontrollably addicted for life.
Another guess is that, despite his claim to have stopped getting wasted, it was the cause of his death.
Read his book then come back with an opinion

Yeah. It's a lot, lot different and more in depth. Is it any different to what he's said on chat shows, in interviews, etc, I doubt it ...
... how much is true and how much is it there to sell books.
He claims he's spent $10m on treatment, had 15 stays in rehab, or whatever, and can list how many bottles of vodka he drank every day, how much coke he sniffed, how many tablets.
It's truly remarkable just how precise he can be tbh ...
... I can sometimes forget where I live after a few pints and a glass of rum![]()
Yeah. It's a lot, lot different and more in depth.
Fame and fortune does not protect you from weakness, illness and addiction. You could argue that his parents begging the doctor to sedate him when he was 1 month old (because he wouldn't sleep) started him on the journey to addiction.
Anyway, it's all about opinions but I'd certainly advise anyone to read his book before judging

Been on our news channels quite a bit. If an actor from Emmerdale or Eastenders died do you think it would make the news in the USA.
I'm 100% sure but I don't think you can accidently take a horse tranquilliserI’m a bit confused some may say that’s easy for me
However
Did he accedently take ketamine and die
Or did take ketamine and accedently die
Two different meanings ??????
He was being treated with ketamine for depression, however the traces found in his body do not match his treatment programme. It sounds as though he had slipped and taken some off-prescription and that has contributed to his death. It's possible he's had some sort of arrest/seizure, lost consciousness and drowned. That is what I'm trying to surmise from the various reports. Maybe he hadn't relapsed, but he damage had already been down through years of abuse. The autopsy said he had coronary artery disease, so it's entirely possible it was a heart attack.I’m a bit confused some may say that’s easy for me

Well they said he was stable for a while.I'm 100% sure but I don't think you can accidently take a horse tranquilliser
Edit unless he had a poorly horse in his house
Yeah so how did he accedently dieI'm 100% sure but I don't think you can accidently take a horse tranquilliser
cheers mate very sad indeedHe was being treated with ketamine for depression, however the traces found in his body do not match his treatment programme. Whatever the cause, and however people feel that fame/fortune somehow makes you immune to addiction, it's all very, very sad
Well they said he was stable for a while.
