Hehe! :emoticon-0105-wink: I thought I'd sneak it in there in case anyone noticed.

Out of the all the Stoke squad I think him and Pennant are the 'hottest'.

After a quick search I've just found 'injured' - doubt it will be anything long term.

Jermaine's locks do it for you? For my Wolves supporting cousin, it's our ex right winger, Mr Lawrence that does it for her :emoticon-0110-tongu

Well, I reckon he might have broke down in the warmup, as Birmingham's team was announced 15-25 minutes before ours was, so maybe Matty broke down and we quickly had to reshuffle. :emoticon-0138-think

MATTHEW Etherington is on course to return from injury in time for Stoke's FA Cup fifth-round clash against Brighton on Saturday.

Etherington returned to light training earlier this week after missing last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Birmingham City with a hamstring injury.

And boss Tony Pulis is confident the 29-year-old will be 100 per cent fit to face Gus Poyet's League One high-fliers at the Britannia Stadium.

"Matthew's been a bit sore, but he's all right and the fitness lads think he'll be OK," said Pulis. "He did a bit of jogging for about an hour yesterday and then went for a dip in the pool before having an injection.

"Fingers crossed, he can train properly tomorrow and then we'll see what happens with regards to Saturday.

"Jon Walters did well in his place at Birmingham, but there's no doubting the pace and the energy Matt gives us."

Pulis, pictured below, has confirmed Thomas Sorensen will replace Asmir Begovic in goal to take up his customary place in Stoke's FA Cup line-up this season.

And he insisted Sorensen's return had nothing to do with Begovic's late and costly fumble in the defeat at Birmingham.

"Thomas has played in all our FA Cup ties and he was always coming back into the team for the Brighton game," he stated.

"Asmir has been fine this week. Making mistakes and bouncing back from them is all part of a player's education.

"And when you're playing youngsters, you have to accept there will be mistakes. But Asmir remains a good prospect and nothing that happened last Saturday will change that."

Stoke are anticipating a crowd approaching 20,000 for the Brighton game.

Home fans have already bought around 10,500 tickets and Brighton have reported sales so far of 2,500.

Visiting supporters are being hampered by a shortage of coaches in Sussex because of Crawley's trip to Manchester United the same day, which will see the non-league side take up to 9,000 fans to Old Trafford.

Advanced tickets for City's clash are £15 for adults and £5 concessions (season-ticket holders), £20 adults and £10 concessions (non-season-ticket holders). Season-ticket holders will be charged the higher prices if they pay on the day.

If he's had an injection then, he obviously isn't okay. Painkilling injections could extend the severity of his injury what ever it may be.
If he isn't fit then i'd rather he wasn't playing despite the fact that i'd love to see Pennant and Etherington on both flanks for the Brighton match.
